Winter 2021

Our workshop this winter was supposed to be at Middlebury College. Unfortunately, the ongoing pandemic gave us no choice but to cancel our in-person workshop. In lieu of one big virtual workshop, we have decided to put together a virtual seminar series that will run from February through April of this year. The pandemic has eliminated many of the seminars and conferences where we would usually be sharing our work and meeting people with similar research agendas. We hope that this virtual seminar series can, however imperfectly, generate some of the same benefits that we derive from our in-person workshop.

Virtual Seminar Series Schedule:

February 5 at 11am: "How Does the Dramatic Rise of CPS Non-Response Impact Labor Market Indicators?", Erin Wolcott (Middlebury College)

February 17 at 3pm: "Technology Shocks and Predicable Minsky Cycles", Greg Phelan (Williams College)

March 5 at 11am: "The Alphas, Betas and Gammas of the Labor Market", David Wiczer (Stony Brook University)
